Under the direction of the late Johan Schotte, the JET Symphonic Band has developed into a full-fledged orchestra with no fewer than 85 enthusiastic members. Since March 29, 2024, the band has been under the expert direction of Gilles Demeurisse !

Thanks to the solid musical training of all our members and carefully curated concerts, our orchestra has enjoyed the support of the Flemish Community since June 1995. In 1999, the JET Symphonic Band was appointed musical ambassador of Tielt, the European city, by the city of Tielt.

The concerts and performances are completed with an average, balanced ensemble of approximately 60 musicians . Our repertoire is varied and includes various genres such as baroque, classical, symphonic wind music, jazz, big band, film music, and specific arrangements for concert bands.

Our rehearsals take place every Friday evening from 8:30pm – 10:15pm .

Afterwards we like to end the day with a nice chat at our bar.
