Gilles Demeurisse
Conductor
JET Symphonic Band
Gilles began his musical career on the flugelhorn at the Municipal Academy for Music and Speech in Izegem. After completing secondary school, Gilles continued his musical training on the euphonium at the Lemmens Institute in Leuven with Nick Ost and later at the KASK Conservatory in Ghent with Frank Vantroyen, where he earned his master's degree with honors in 2016. As a freelance musician, he regularly performs with orchestras such as the Royal Band of the Belgian Guides, the Air Force, the Navy, and the Flemish Opera.
The passion for conducting grew and in 2023 Gilles obtained a master's degree in brass band conducting with Steven Verhaert and Jan Van der Roost at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp with the highest distinction.
Gilles teaches at Art'iz Izegem and the Municipal Academy for Music and Speech in Menen. He is also the conductor of the Royal Fanfare Band of Ridder Jans Zonen Dadizele and the solo euphonium with the Royal City Fanfare Band of Izegem.
Thari Verloove

JET Mini Band & JET Junior Band
Thari began her musical career at SAMW Tielt, where she took horn lessons with Katrien Vintioen and Jeroen Billiet. Encouraged by her musical family, she quickly joined various music associations in Tielt and Izegem. She has been a member of our JET family since she was 10 years old.
After her studies in social and cultural work in Ghent, the music bug started to bite her again and she went to the Royal Conservatory in Brussels .
There she obtained a Master of Arts in 2013 with the horn option under Luc Bergé with great distinction and she followed the teacher training course.
In the meantime, she studied orchestral conducting with Nico Logghe and Bart Picqueur at the De Kunstbrug academy in Gentbrugge.
In recent years, Thari has been active as a conductor for various organizations, including the Sint Leonardszonen Harmony in Bellegem, and for 10 years she conducted the youth orchestra The Young Ones from Tielt. Since 2022, she has been at the helm of the P-nuts youth brass band in Pittem.
From September 2024 she will be the conductor of the Jet Mini and Jet Junior Band.
Thari is a teacher at SAMW Tielt.
